Chin Definition
Quietly balancing the lower face.
The chin plays a defining role in facial proportion. Considered, conservative refinement can rebalance the lower third of the face.

A recessed or under-projected chin can affect facial balance, profile and the apparent definition of the jawline. Subtle treatment here often has a larger visual effect than patients expect.
Where surgery is the more appropriate option, we will say so. Filler is not a substitute for a procedure that genuinely calls for one.
Where this typically shows up.
The areas below are commonly assessed in consultation. Whether any are treated , and how, is decided on an individual basis.
Chin Projection
The forward position of the chin in profile. Subtle support can improve overall facial balance without changing the front-on shape of the face.
Chin Width & Shape
The shape of the chin in front view. A measured approach can soften squareness or refine width where appropriate.
Mentalis Strain & Dimpling
An overactive mentalis muscle causes 'pebbling' across the chin. Where clinically appropriate, relaxation of this muscle can lengthen and smooth the area.
Labiomental Fold
The horizontal crease between the lip and chin. A deep fold can be softened with carefully placed support where indicated.
Unhurried. Plastic Surgeon-led. No pressure to proceed.
We start with a clear conversation about profile, balance and proportion, and whether what you'd like to change is achievable with non-surgical treatment at all.
Our Aesthetic Nurse assesses the chin in front and profile views, the relationship to the lip, nose and jawline, the activity of the mentalis muscle and the underlying bone projection. With Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon support, we can refer where surgical assessment is the more appropriate path.
If a non-surgical plan is offered, we explain the approach, the conservative amounts involved, the known risks, the expected settling and longevity. Cost is discussed openly once the plan is clear.
There's no pressure to proceed on the day. Chin work in particular benefits from a considered decision made with the full picture in mind.
