Hollow Temples

Re-supporting the upper face.

The temples are often the first area to show signs of volume loss, frequently before patients notice changes anywhere else.

Hollow Temples
About the concern

When the temples lose support, the upper third of the face narrows. The brow can begin to feel heavier, the eye can read as more drawn, and the overall frame of the face changes shape without any obvious 'culprit' area.

Subtle restoration to the temple region lifts and supports the entire upper face. The key word is subtle, the temple is a delicate, vascular area that requires conservative technique and an experienced clinician.

We treat the temple only where it's clinically appropriate and where the underlying cause genuinely sits there, not as a default add-on.

Areas of concern

Where this typically shows up.

The areas below are commonly assessed in consultation. Whether any are treated , and how, is decided on an individual basis.

01

Lateral Temple

The most commonly affected zone. Conservative re-support here softens the visible hollow and helps the upper face read as fuller without volume being obvious.

02

Upper Brow Frame

Loss of temple support changes how the brow sits. Addressing the temple often improves how the brow frames the eye, without treating the brow itself.

03

Lateral Cheek Transition

The temple flows into the upper cheek. Where the transition has flattened, both areas are assessed together rather than in isolation.

Your consultation

Unhurried. Plastic Surgeon-led. No pressure to proceed.

We start by understanding what you've actually noticed, often it isn't the temple itself, but a change in how the eye area or brow reads in photos. Naming the concern accurately matters here.

Our Aesthetic Nurse assesses the temple in context: bone projection, the surrounding fat compartments, the position of the brow and the vascular anatomy of the region. Treatment is only offered where it is genuinely indicated.

If treatment is recommended, we explain the technique, the conservative volumes involved, the known risks (the temple is a high-care area), the expected settling period and longevity. Cost is discussed openly once the plan is defined.

You're not expected to decide on the day. We're happy for you to take the plan away and book in only when you're ready.
