Collagen Loss
Rebuilding the scaffold of the skin.
Collagen production declines by roughly one percent each year from the mid-twenties. Treatment here focuses on stimulating your skin's own response rather than masking the change.

Loss of collagen shows up as fine lines, laxity, dullness and a general softening of skin quality. It's a slow change, and the most effective response is also a slow one, consistent, evidence-based treatment over time.
We prefer protocols that work with the skin's own biology: stimulating new collagen formation, improving hydration, and supporting the skin barrier rather than stripping it.
Where this typically shows up.
The areas below are commonly assessed in consultation. Whether any are treated , and how, is decided on an individual basis.
Facial Skin Quality
Texture, tone, pore appearance and the way the skin reflects light all change as collagen depletes. Treatment is planned across months rather than weeks.
Periorbital Skin
The thin skin around the eye is one of the earliest areas to show collagen loss. Conservative, skin-focused approaches suit it best.
Neck & Décolletage
Often neglected in a skin routine and often the first to give away age. A measured plan can meaningfully improve quality here over time.
Hands
The back of the hand shows volume loss and skin thinning early. We assess the hands as part of the broader picture where it's relevant.
Unhurried. Plastic Surgeon-led. No pressure to proceed.
We start by understanding your skin history, sun exposure, previous treatments, your current routine and what's actually working. Collagen treatments are most useful when they slot into a clear, sustainable picture.
Our Aesthetic Nurse assesses skin quality across the relevant areas, looking at laxity, texture, tone and underlying inflammation. Where appropriate, photography may be used in consultation to track change over time.
If a plan is offered, we explain the layered approach (in-clinic and at-home), the expected timeframe, the known risks of each step, and how the protocol typically evolves. Cost is discussed openly once the plan is clear.
Collagen work rewards consistency over intensity. You're encouraged to start at a pace that's realistic for you to maintain.
