Skin Needling

Collagen induction, in a medical setting.

Also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to stimulate natural collagen production and improve overall skin quality.

Skin Needling
About the treatment

At Aesthetic Haus, skin needling treatments are tailored to help improve texture, tone, firmness, and visible signs of ageing using advanced medical-grade technology.

Skin needling (microneedling) uses fine sterile needles to create hundreds of controlled microchannels within the skin. These tiny channels trigger the skin's natural healing response, encouraging collagen and elastin production over time.

As collagen levels increase, the skin may appear smoother, firmer, brighter and more refined in texture.

The treatment can be performed on the face, neck, decolletage, and other areas depending on your concerns.

The technique has been used in dermatology since the mid-1990s and is supported by extensive clinical literature for fine lines, texture, scarring (including acne scarring) and overall skin quality.

In a medical setting, depth, density and technique can be tailored to the individual concern in a way that home or beauty-grade rollers cannot replicate.

How it works

The mechanism, in plain language.

01

The micro-channels trigger the skin's natural wound-healing cascade: inflammation, proliferation of new tissue, and remodelling.

02

This results in new collagen and elastin deposition in the treated area over the following weeks.

03

The micro-channels also allow short-term enhanced absorption of medical-grade topicals applied during or immediately after treatment.

Optional pairing

NCTF Skin Booster + Skin Needling

A revitalising boost, delivered through open microchannels.

NCTF (New Cellular Treatment Factor) is a revitalising booster designed to support hydration, radiance and overall skin quality. Paired with needling, it makes use of the microchannels created during treatment to help drive active ingredients deeper than topical application alone.

On its own, NCTF delivers a concentrated blend of hydrating and reparative ingredients into the dermis to support cellular function and the body's own collagen response.

Combined with needling, the two treatments work synergistically: needling triggers a natural healing and remodelling cascade, while NCTF supplies the building blocks the tissue draws on during that response.

It's a considered pairing for patients focused on prevention, or for anyone wanting to address dullness, dehydration or uneven texture alongside the structural benefits of needling.

What to expect

Session, settling, results.

Before treatment, your skin will be cleansed and prepared. A topical numbing cream will be applied to enhance comfort.

Most appointments take approximately 30-60 minutes depending on your treatment area.

Redness similar to mild sunburn is expected for 24-48 hours; mild swelling and warmth; some patients have light flaking or sensitivity for a few days.

Skin needling results develop gradually as collagen production increases over time.

For optimal results, a series of treatments is typically recommended, with most patients requiring approximately 3-6 sessions spaced around 4 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments may also be advised depending on your individual skin concerns and long term skin goals.

Risks & considerations

All cosmetic procedures carry risks.

Common: redness, mild swelling, dryness, temporary sensitivity, light bruising.

Less common: post-inflammatory pigmentation (particularly in higher Fitzpatrick skin types), flare of pre-existing acne, prolonged redness.

Rare: infection, scarring, granuloma formation.

Not suitable over active acne, infection or open lesions, during pregnancy, in some autoimmune conditions or where there is a history of keloid scarring.
