Wrinkle Reduction

Softening expression, not erasing it.

A non-surgical treatment that may help soften the appearance of expression lines by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles that create them. The goal at The Haus is a refreshed, natural result - never a frozen one.

Wrinkle Reduction
About the treatment

Lines and wrinkles are a natural part of ageing. Over time, gradual changes in the skin's connective tissues - including a decline in collagen and weakening of elastin fibres - may contribute to reduced firmness and the appearance of lines, particularly in areas of repeated muscle movement.

Wrinkle reduction treatments are non-surgical procedures that may help soften the appearance of lines caused by facial expression. Commonly requested areas include the forehead, frown lines between the brows, around the eyes, around the nose, mouth, chin and neck.

Whether this treatment is appropriate for you is determined in a one-on-one medical consultation. Your practitioner will review your medical history, assess your facial anatomy and discuss your goals before recommending whether - and how - to proceed.

How it works

The mechanism, in plain language.

01

Wrinkle reduction treatments are designed to temporarily relax specific facial muscles that contribute to expression lines.

02

With less repeated folding of the overlying skin, dynamic lines may soften over time, contributing to a more refreshed appearance.

03

The effect is local to the area treated and gradually wears off as normal muscle activity returns.

What to expect

Session, settling, results.

Appointments are generally short, and most people return to their usual daily activities soon after. A topical anaesthetic is not usually required.

Results develop gradually, often becoming more visible within two weeks. On average, the effect may last around three months, though outcomes vary from person to person depending on factors such as skin type, age and lifestyle.

A follow-up review may be arranged to assess your response and discuss ongoing care. Ongoing maintenance is generally required for sustained results.
